A tiny oil-rich nation on the northwestern Arabian Peninsular, the last time you thought about Qatar was probably to do with their hosting of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The languages of Qatar are certainly something you’ve never thought of.
Yet despite their small size, both in terms of size and population, numerous human rights and corruption allegations, Qatar is arguably one of the most linguistically diverse countries in the Middle East. And that says something!
Indeed, some of the languages spoken in the country are universal, spoken by hundreds of millions, if not billions, of people worldwide. Others, only have a few million spread across the Middle East. Some, are even unique to the country.
