A small country located on the border of the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan’s best claim to fame is perhaps the Burning Mountain that’s been on fire for at least the last 65 years. Yet the languages of Azerbaijan could quite easily be the country’s claim to fame as well.
Being the place where east and west converge, Azerbaijan is home to numerous languages from numerous different language families, spoken by people from literally dozens of distinct ethnic groups.
