A country in Central Asia, Turkmenistan is a nation perhaps best known for not being much of a nation at all, instead being a loosely united collection of nomadic tribes. In part due to this nomadic nature, the languages of Turkmenistan are immensely diverse.
That, coupled with Turkmenistan’s long history of being a part of many different empires, has only added to the country’s linguistic diversity making it a truly unique case on the global scale.
